What You Need to Do
All providers that submit Medicare eligibility transactions must complete the HETS EDI enrollment with their respective Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) or Common Electric Data Exchange (CEDI).
Please ensure that:
• If you are a provider, complete the HETS EDI enrollment for each NPI you use with Approved Admissions.
• If you are not a provider, request that each of your customers/providers complete the enrollment for each of the NPIs you use with Approved Admissions.
• Confirm that CMS has a valid email address on record for every provider/NPI for monthly HETS reports. CMS will deny or block eligibility transactions if this email remains invalid after two requests to update it.
• Submit separate attestations where required (some jurisdictions require distinct attestations for Part A, Part B, and HH&H)
Enrollment Information
- Follow the MAC enrollment guides published at CMS’s “How to Enroll” page.
- When completing the enrollment, provide the following:
- HETS Unique ID: RKY6
Important Notes
- Approved Admissions is not the administrator of the HETS enrollment or attestation process and cannot make changes on your behalf.
- CMS and the MACs control approval timelines and system access.
- If you experience issues or your access is denied, please contact your MAC directly or the CMS Medicare Help Desk at (866) 324 7315.
Why This Matters
Failure to complete the required HETS attestation will result in:
- Medicare eligibility transactions being rejected or suspended
- Delays or gaps in eligibility verification
- Operational and billing disruptions
To avoid any disruption, we strongly recommend completing your required attestations as soon as possible, if you have not already done so.
If you have questions about which MAC applies to your organization or need assistance confirming whether action is required, please contact our support team or check the “How to Enroll” guide.
